Is it possible to bargain in most shops?
The prices of goods at large department stores and shops are generally
fixed. But at the indoor and outdoor market, such as Xiushui (Silk Market),
Hongqiao, and Yaxiu, you can bargain with merchants. Skilled bargainers
usually cut the asking price by half and then increase it a little to
reach a deal.
