On September 7, Ambassador Yang Houlan met with newly appointed Minister for Energy of Nepal, mainly exchanging views on bilateral cooperation in energetic field with the attendance of Mr. Bai Dongmin, Counselor of Economic and Commercial Counselor's office of Chinese Embassy in Nepal and Mr. Poudel, Secretary of Ministry of Energy of Nepal among others.
Ambassador Yang congratulated Mr. Bogati on assuming his office and said that Chinese government will continue to positively participate the exploitation and utilization of water resources, encourage powerful and qualified Chinese enterprises to invest in Nepal Hydro-power project, and hope to get support of Nepal government in future so as to realize win-win result for both sides.
Mr. Bogati said the Nepali government and people would like to express sincere thanks to China for Chinese government supports and helps the development of Nepali economy and society all the time. The Nepali government attaches high importance to the cooperation in fields of water resources and hydro power, and would like to continue to work together with China to guarantee that the fixed programs are smoothly carried out so as to improve the level of bilateral cooperation.
