Notice on the Opening of the "China Visa Application Service Center" in Kathmandu

In order to meet the growing needs of Nepalese applicants for Chinese visas, and provide more high-quality and efficient services to visa applicants, since January 31, Nepalese nationals and third-country nationals holding ordinary passports to apply for general visas to China must go to The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Kathmandu (hereinafter referred to as the Visa Center) to submit visa applications. The Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal will stop accepting the above-mentioned applications ever since then, and will give the useful information as follows:

I. All Chinese nationals applying for passport, travel permit, notarization, legalization and other consular documents; Nepalese or third-country diplomatic or official passport holders applying for visas to China, or Nepalese nationals and third-country nationals with ordinary passports applying Chinese diplomatic, official, and courtesy visas; and applications for legalization by nationals of Nepal and third countries could still proceed on to the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal (Address: Hattisar, Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal; Office hours: Monday to Friday, except holidays , 9: 30-11: 30) to make applications.

2. The China Visa Application Service Center is responsible for handling administrative and procedural work related to visa applications. The embassy is responsible for the review and approval of visa applications, and has the right to request applicants to provide additional supporting documents and take interviews according to the specific situations.

Submission of application and fees collection: 9: 00-15: 00 (among them, the urgent visa application is accepted until 11:30 am)

Issuance of visa: 9: 00-16: 00

Service charges: In addition to collecting visa fees and rush charges on behalf of the embassy, the China Visa Application Service Center will charge a certain amount of service charges. For details, please consult the center or its website. During the trial period before the center's official launching, no service fees will be charged for the time being.
