Notice on the Precautionary measures taken by the Consulate Office of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal
2020/01/30

In response to the recent outbreak of a new type of corona virus, the Consulate Office of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal will take the following precautionary measures from January 31, 2020:

1. In order to ensure public health safety, applicants whose body temperature exceeds 37.3 degrees or who have symptoms such as cough, and who have been to Hubei within two weeks or have had direct contact with confirmed cases, please seek medical treatment or self-isolation for observation as soon as possible, and postpone coming to embassy. After recovery or being observed for two weeks to confirm that no infection is detected, the applicant could come to the embassy for consular services.

2. A temperature test will be added at the entrance of the visa hall. If it is found that the body temperature of an applicant is abnormal, please be advised to suspend the relevant application and do not enter the visa hall.

3. Disposable hand sanitizer is provided in the visa hall. It is recommended that the applicants start to submit applications only after washing and disinfecting hands.

Everyone has the responsibility to prevent and control the epidemic. Please inform each other and actively cooperate with the embassy in adopting epidemic preventing and controlling measures. At the same time, we also remind overseas Chinese Nationals in Nepal to confront rationally, respond scientifically and actively, avoid unnecessary panic. Our embassy will closely follow up the progress of Chinese domestic epidemic prevention and control work, and accordingly adjust the visa hall precautionary measures in a timely manner.

Thank you for your understanding and support!
