Notice on the adjustments of HS/HDC code requirements for passengers from Nepal to China

In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic across borders, the following adjustments of HS code(the green health code with the"HS"mark)/ HDC code(the Electronic Health Declaration Form) are required for passengers taking flight on and from January 11, 2021 to China from Nepal:

I. Passengers (including Chinese, Nepalese and third-country nationality) who are working, living or studying in Nepal, shall upload the following pictures in the position of "Please upload pictures of the nucleic acid test certificate and serum IgM antibody test report Or other pictures required" in the system.

1. One PCR test negative report of designated medical institution

2. One serum IgM antibody test negative report of designated medical institution

3. The latest Nepal entry stamp

4. The valid Nepal visa

II. Passengers (including Chinese and foreign nationality) who enter Nepal from a third country, and take direct flight from Nepal to China, shall upload the following pictures in the position of "Please upload pictures of the nucleic acid test certificate and serum IgM antibody test report Or other pictures required" in the system.

1. One PCR test negative report of designated medical institution

2. One serum IgM antibody test negative report of designated medical institution

3. Green HS/ HDC code issued by Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin

4. The latest Nepal entry stamp

5. The valid Nepal visa

If passengers from a third country do not have Green HS/ HDC code issued by Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin, then "cross-double testing" should be taken in Nepal. That means double testing should be taken in two different medical institutions designated by Chinese Embassy in Nepal (institution A: 1 PCR + 1 IgM antibody test, institution B: 1 PCR + 1 IgM antibody test, a total of 4 tests should be carried out). The following pictures in the position of "Please upload pictures of the nucleic acid test certificate and serum IgM antibody test report Or other pictures required" in the system shall be uploaded.

1. Two PCR test negative reports (tested in different institutions)

2. Two serum IgM antibody test negative reports (tested in different institutions)

3. The latest Nepal entry stamp

4. The valid Nepal visa

Important remindesr:

(I)Passengers shall fill in personal information such as residence abroad, occupation, company and flight information truthfully in the system. It is strictly forbidden to forge or alter test report, deliberately conceal medical condition. Once discovered, the Embassy and relevant domestic departments will deal with it in accordance with regulations and seriously investigate the legal liabilities of relevant personnel according to the law. Passengers shall stay in home quarantine after testing and take precautions during testing, to and from the airport and aboard the flight

(II) The Chinese Embassy in Nepal once again reminds that Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu, Nepal allows no International transit and International passengers cannot transit directly in the airport. They need to enter first and then leave the country. At the time of entry, you must hold a permit or recommend letter approved by the Nepal government, or a tourist visa issued by the Embassy or Consulate of Nepal in advance. At least 10 days of mandatory quarantine is required after entry. International passengers are not recommended to transit through Nepal, so as not to cause unnecessary losses.

(III) Please pay close attention to the safety reminders and overseas COVID-19 epidemic information issued by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassies and Consulates abroad, assess the risks of cross-infection, stranded abroad, long quarantine period that may arise from current international travel, and adhere to the principle of "non-necessary, no travel", avoid long-distance cross-border movement.
