In Celebration of the Earth Rat Tibetan Losar, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Nepal is scheduled to host a New Year Reception on 22nd of January, 2008 in Kathmandu to extend season's greetings and sincere wishes to all Tibetan compatriots residing in Nepal. This is the sixth Losar Reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and nearly 1000 Tibetan compatriots will be invited to celebrate the traditional Tibetan New Year together with the staffs of the Embassy.

On this auspicious occasion, the attendees can enjoy colorful pictures of the new social and economic development of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and admire a beautiful culture show performed by Yarlung Art Troupe from Shannan Area of TAR China. After the reception, the troupe will give 2 public performances in BICC on 23 and 25 of January, 2008.
