On June 21, 2011, Ambassador Yang Houlan met with Mr. Durga Bahadur Shrestha, the President of Nepal Trans Himalayan Border Commerce Association at his residence.
Ambassador Yang expressed his gratitude to Nepal Trans Himalayan Border Commerce Association for their contribution to China-Nepal border trade. Yang said that China-Nepal bilateral trade have been growing so fast in recent years but still has large potential to develop. The border trade is an important part of bilateral trade. As more roads, bridges and other infrastructures connected China and Nepal are being improved, he hoped that the two sides continue to develop the border trade for the interests of both peoples.
Mr. Shrestha congratulated Ambassador Yang on his assumption of new office and introduced the general situation of Nepal-China trans border commerce. He hoped that Chinese Embassy in Nepal continues to extend support to his Association.
